Do you have an opinion on a certain scene from the movie Babel?

Hi...Tonight I had a discussion with my Family & Close Friends about the movie Babel, one part from the movie the japanesse Deaf girl and her father I am being told that the farther abused her sexualy I disagree totoally I tried explaing what I thought about her and their sistuation and why. If I could get some other opinions what you think the Japanese girl problem was and how and if her problem was sorted out. many Thanks

Common sense and Dragons?

Not to offend anyone born in the year of the dragon but I've noticed a lot of people born in that year don't have much common sense. Most of my friends are dragons and they can be really intelligent in mathematics and such but they lack common sense. They seem a bit more like children then others. Have you noticed this before? I'm a snake if your wondering.

Question about Alec (Alexander) from Ayashi no Ceres?

Why does he always say "deshi" after everything he says in the manga (maybe in the series, too, i can't remember)? What does that mean?
I read that means student/disciple but that just doesn't make sense to me why he would say it at the end of every sentence. Anyone care to explain?

Whats the funniest thing that's utterly ridiculous that someone you know believes in?

I know its wrong to find other peoples beliefs funny but this friend of my dads was over at our house a while ago and was saying that gays caused hurricane Katrina and the tsunami. No he wasn't drunk or anything he actually believed that.
