or do i have to download it?
cuz i got this new printer
and all i did was plug it in
and i tried to print stuff
but it wouldn't let me print anything!

you plug it in and if it comes with a disc you put the disk in and follow the instuctions untill it downloads

Do you have the right printer driver in your computer? The printer should have come with a CD.

You buy a printer that has the installation manual and you read it.
