I'm conducting a discussion lesson (for EFL learners) on people who are just "not your type", and why (they are not attractive, or have physical problems, or silly things like bad breath).
I would like to start the class off by playing the students a song to set them in the mood for discussing attraction and so on. The song should be appropriate for the classroom setting, so no foul language, please.
The only song I could think of was "Someone like you", by Van Morrison. But I'd like to play my students a more modern song, and a little bit more appropriate to the subject at hand.
Any suggestions?

I don't seem to have very detailed descriptions about him but since there aren't a numerous number of blind musicians. He has long hair, tied back, as I remember seeing him singing in a live concert & was being helped by someone to get him on stage. It was a good song & he was really great. I believe it is harder when you are a teen. First of all, many have gone the whole 14 or 15 or 16 years as an only child.... then BAMM there the baby hits. When you are a child, the world seems more fun and exciting. A new baby may seem like something to play with, a new friend who is CLOSE to your age. I would have much rather had my mom have a child when i was young, i could have bonded better because of the age difference.

When you are a teenager, you have enough things in your life, school pressures, HORMONES, mood swings, etc... and you are expected to be the childs second mom whether you like it or not.
Also when you are a teenager, it gives the FEELING (whether or not its true key word FEELING) that your mom wants a replacement now that you are old and are going to college soon... it feels really sad.
But when you are young, it gives the feeling that your mom is creating a new family for both you and herself.
Anyway thats my opinion, but i would like to hear from you!

was barely sitting (public loo) down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying: "Hi, how are you?"

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the men's restroom but I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!"

And the other guy says: "So what are you up to?"

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say: "Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!"

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question. "Can I come over?"

Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell him, "No........I'm a little busy right now!!!"

Then I hear the guy say nervously...

"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions!!!
