I'm conducting a discussion lesson (for EFL learners) on people who are just "not your type", and why (they are not attractive, or have physical problems, or silly things like bad breath).
I would like to start the class off by playing the students a song to set them in the mood for discussing attraction and so on. The song should be appropriate for the classroom setting, so no foul language, please.
The only song I could think of was "Someone like you", by Van Morrison. But I'd like to play my students a more modern song, and a little bit more appropriate to the subject at hand.
Any suggestions?

Beautiful Soul by Jesse McCartney is the first thing that comes to my mind. Good luck!

"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt maybe?

In the song he doesn't describe who he thinks is beautiful but then we get to imagine what beautiful really means. And there can be a discussion about whether he meant physically beautiful or something intriguing about her..
