Is it harder to deal with your mom having another baby when you are a teen, or a young child?

I believe it is harder when you are a teen. First of all, many have gone the whole 14 or 15 or 16 years as an only child.... then BAMM there the baby hits. When you are a child, the world seems more fun and exciting. A new baby may seem like something to play with, a new friend who is CLOSE to your age. I would have much rather had my mom have a child when i was young, i could have bonded better because of the age difference.

When you are a teenager, you have enough things in your life, school pressures, HORMONES, mood swings, etc... and you are expected to be the childs second mom whether you like it or not.
Also when you are a teenager, it gives the FEELING (whether or not its true key word FEELING) that your mom wants a replacement now that you are old and are going to college soon... it feels really sad.
But when you are young, it gives the feeling that your mom is creating a new family for both you and herself.
Anyway thats my opinion, but i would like to hear from you!

Oh and by the way the baby is from a DIFFERENT father, which makes it a lot harder for me...

well i was gonna say when your a young child b/c you might feel left out and when you are older its easier b/c you are most of the time focused on freinds, things at skool ,opposite sex (i know i am LOL ) ect. but you said you were the only child then i know that must have hit you pretty hard it would have did the same for me but now you are gonna have to babysit /not hangen out with yo peoples as much man i see what your gonna be or goin through right now b/c im the baby and the only girl soo i get anything i want but man idk

Been there. I definitely get it.

It's not so bad but you will be expected to do this and do that and babysit quite a bit. This creates a lot of resentment.

Also, you didn't say if you have the same father. If your new sibling is from a different father, you will be treated differently. Unfortunately, not as well as the new child. Women are foolish as they are good to children of men they love.

It sucked for me.

Young child because when you're a teen you're almost out of the house. But also when you're a teen, your parents will ask you to babysit which would suck. But I still have to say a young child because you're still young and now the attention that your parents paid to you will now go the baby. It's a turf war.

as a teen it's harder, parents give u more responsiblity, and make u babysit like im doing now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah i know what u mean, kids don't care
