Would you have liked Angels and Airwaves if it was just a new band with no connection to Tom Delonge?

I know a lot of Blink-182 fans who only listen because it's Tom, not for the music. Many fans have been turned off by the sound of Tom's new music, but they still buy it to hear his voice. I guess my real question is, do you like Angels and Airwaves for the music, not the people?
