I loved the book more, but the movie was endearing as well... This is my favorite story growing up..

Yes, matter of fact i still have that movie.ur right.Her dad went 2 war & she went 2 boarding school.But @ the end he remembered her & ithink he adopted her.Everything worked olut in Sara's favor.I loved the stories she told.It's a good movie.

This is one of my daughter's most favorite Shirley Temple movie. I cry every time I see it. Especially the part where the queen comes through the hospital and Shirley is standing with her dad, then he stands up to salute the queen.

Yeah I think I remember that one! I was actually just thinking about it the other day!

The original had Shirley Temple and it was remade in like 95 or something....

I remember! I absolutely love this movie. It is a wonderful children's film with a poignant story and features an excellent cast.

ya...there are two movies, if i remember and the book.
i liked the book
i didn't like the movie so well...I think I saw the newer one and I was disappointed that it didn't follow the book so well.
