Isn't it literally playing basketball, but figuratively living a nice posh life with a lot of money, girls, etc? Not sure what my source is on that one but that's the impression I have.

lol wow great question balling is not actually playing the sport but it means having a lot of nice things really..... like for example if you got some new shoes and an outfir you might be described as ballin because you have on new stuff that people have never seen before and because its nice

The only definition that I am familar with is that you are crying. Whether this is from emotional distress or extreme laughter.
Example: When I heard the punch line to the joke, I was laughing so hard I was (ballin')!
