Entertainment & Music - 10 November 2006

I am tired of searching the internet for what the world thinks are their 10 favorite bands. Being 18 years old I am not familiar with many old bands, for instance, I like Green Day and Sum 41 more than the Sex Pistols or Motley Crue. But my favorite band is the Beatles, a band which preceded the both of those bands! This is you opportunity to credit any bands which you feel deserve more respect or to reaffirm the superiority of the all time greats. All I ask is that you not place you recent obsessions, not that new bands aren't eligible, but see if your obsession continues for a significant time. A band that stays with you and continues to speak to you after you've listened to all their songs many times is the definition of a truly great band. Thanks and just to get things going here are my 10 Favorite Bands:

i was watching comedy central's "drawn together", was trying to figure out who those B celebrity cartoon characters are supposed to be... Betty boop, superman, zelda but who is the yellow character? Comedycentral.com says his name is Wooldoor Sockbat... off beat question but i thought someone here might quench my curiousity.

George Bush goes to a primary school to talk about the war. After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand and George asks him what his name is.

'Billy.'

'And what is your question, Billy?

'I have 3 questions. First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN? Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes? And third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?'

Just then the bell rings for recess. George Bush informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess. When they resume George says, "OK, where were we? Oh that's right question time. Who has a question?"

Another little boy puts up his hand. George points him out and asks him what his name is.

'Steve'

'And what is your question, Steve?'

I listen to every green day song, I know everything about him, watch videos on youtube of him ALL the time, talk about him to my friends, have pictures of him, I try to sing like him, and I need to stop, and giving up green day is not an option!

What do you think? My Girlfriend just basically told me she doesent like me anymore. So then she broke up with me. I really like her. Shes left me 2 other times and said they were bioth big mistakes. I dont know what to do this time though. Should i be her friend and hope shell come back? Should i just be her friend? Should I just move on without her? What would you do? She allways said I was the only one, then she says shes been having fun with other people. It hurts too much. I dont have much left in me. I loved her. Ill miss her too. I dedicated my life to her. And this goes to show you cant trust or love anyone.

Today I was singing "American Pie" (quite badly) in 5th period and it was like all hell broke loose. Everyone went completly crazy on me, and told me I was singing the wrong lyrics. Even our teacher, who is too lazy to teach us anything useful, to my horror, started singing her own version of the song, (by which time I hurriedly ran to the bathroom). But anyways I thought it went:

"My Oh My Ms. American Pie.
Put the pedal to the medal
but the medal was dry
goin' down south to drink
whiskey with rye
ohhh this'll be the day

ohh this'll be the day
oh myyy"

& thats all. But everyone went COMPLETLY SPAZZTIC so yea if you could just tell me the real words to the song because I have been SO wrong indeed. Thanks =]
