I have just watched a news Item on the TV - It was about people who spend vast amounts of money on pet accessories, one person featured spent over £60 Thousand Pounds on her dog wardrobe.
How on earth do these people sleep at night ? There are so many good causes this money could be put to life saving use for.

The Marine Corps ball is coming up and I've been selected to be the DJ. Can anyone give me some suggestions on the music that should be played for dancing? No slow dancing. It needs to be clean and adhere to all crowds. Thanks for you help!

According to the media, David Beckham may be awarded a Knighthood in the New Years honours list. Has this country gone completey mad? Am I the only one that cannot understand why we are honouring these people with titles and making them knights of the realm?
David Beckham has already been rewarded with an over inflated salary, and numerous highly paid endorsement deals, and all he has done is played a game that he loves. There will be those that say "but look what he's done for charity", but this is just nonsense. He has done what he should have done given his wealth and influence, and I'm sure that he hasn't gone without along the way, like many hard working volunteers and benefactors have.
It's wrong of me to just single Beckham out, as he hasn't been awarded anything yet, but what about others like Mick Jagger, who won't even live in our country because of the taxes, but will gladly don a top hat for a day at the palace.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

One day a boy approached his mother with a question. "Mom, how come every night I hear you and daddy fighting and yelling, but when I look in your room you're on top of each other?"

His mother ,very surprised, replies; "Honey you know how fat daddy is, I'm jumping on top of him to help him lose weight".

The boy knows that's not working and tells his mother why...

"Mom that's not going to help, because the lady next door comes by after you leave for work, and blows him back up again!"

"A reverend and a pirate share a name. What will you plant in their honour?"
It might be a pun or word-game, or it might be trivia I'm not getting. It has a cryptic crossword feel to it; the author is British. It should be a word or a phrase.

Is there a particular song that brings you to tears even though its not sad? Is there an artist with the power to make you scream, dance, jump, cry, ***, laugh? Lyrics that make you remember how good it is be to be alive, or remind you to call your loved ones and tell them how you feel? Make you so angry you shout the refrain in the car as you drive or in the shower like a madperson until you're hoarse?

Comments with your answer encouraged.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:

Rufus Wainright's version of Cohen's 'Hallelujah', Flaming Lips' 'Do You Realize?' and Iron and Wine's 'Upwards Over the Mountain' seem to have a power over me that I can't reign in.... Tears regardless of whose presence I'm in or what mood I'm in.

Modest Mouse's 'Float On', Beck's 'Girl', and Hot Chip's entire album 'The Warning' all make me implicitly happy regardless of my state at the time.

Lastly, for raw power and intelligence unsurpassed, Iron and Wine, The Shins, and Jose Gonzales all deserve a Nobel....

On Dancing With The Stars last night, and other times as well, the judges just go on and on about Emmitts hip action when he dances...What hip action!? I watch when they rerun the dances and I sure don't see anything to go on about...as for Mario, well, that's hip action...He's great! I was glad to see Monique go home because even though I thought I wanted her and Mario to be the final two, I think Monique was getting an attitude, plus as somene else on Answers said, it really didn't seem fair that she was a contestant since she's had dancing experience. I hope Joey goes next, that it's left between Mario and Emmitt and that Mario wins :)
