<<< i post this before, but there is more info!>

Me and my friend are arguing over a word..?
I have a question about the word "BABE"?

Me and my friend just got into an arguement about something.

He said its acceptable for a man to call a man babe.

As in,, on Sopranos, Tony might ask a guy, ?can you get this for me ,babe?
or on full house Jesse would say to Danny, "good job on that gig babe"

I told him its not used for men to say to another man the word "babe".. I said it is used for females. Like if a man asked a woman "Are you feeling ok, babe?. the only acception would be if a female called her significant other babe.

Who is right?

***** I found this on the internet...... I guess this means I lost the arguement???
Danny: Jess, are you just bein' this nice to get out of blowing up more balloons?
Jesse: Absolutely! Ciao, babe!

Tony: Cheer me up, babe!
Silvio: Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in...

so ...i guesi am wrong?

When I was a little kid, I saw a sign that said "please refrain from smoking." Mom explained that meant not to do it.

A month later, I was in choir and we were singing from the printed lyrics. It said "REFRAIN" so I stopped. Choir teacher was irked.

Come on, guys...can't we work this out and have just one meaning for REFRAIN?

It's the Spanish poem "Pintame Angelitos ******" I got it translated to English, but I still don't exactly understand it.
Toh world! The Black Juana,
the hand that happened to him!
its negrito died to him,
yes Sir.

Ay, compadrito of the soul,
so healthy that it was the black!
I did not accept to him folds,
I did not watch the bone to him,
like I enflaquecía,
he measured it with my body,
to me he was put himself skinny
as I were put myself.
My negrito died to me;
God would have it arranged;
it will already have colocao
like angelito of the sky.

Desengáñese, comother,
that there are no black angelitos.
Painter of Saints of alcove,
painter without earth in the chest,
that when pinto your saints
you do not remember your town,
that when pinto your Virgins
pinto beautiful angelitos,
but never you remembered
to paint a black angel.

Painter born in my earth,
with the foreign brush,
painter that you follow the course
of as much old painters
although the Virgin is white,
píntame black angelitos.

There is no a painter who painted
angelitos of my town.
I want white angelitos
with brown angelitos.
Angel of good family
it is not enough for my sky.

If it is left a painter of saints,
if it is left a sky painter,
that it makes the sky of my earth,
with the tones of my town,
with its angel of per it fine,
with its angel of average hair,
with its angels catires,
with its brown angels,
with its white angelitos,
with its Indian angelitos,
with its black angelitos,
that they are eating handles
by the quarters of the sky.

If to the sky I go someday,
I have hallarte in the sky,
angelitico of the devil,
serafín cucurusero.

If you know to paint your earth,
thus you have to paint your sky,
with its sun that toasts targets,
with its sun that sweats black,
because for that you have it
calientitos and of the good ones.
Although

There is no a course church,
there is no a town church,
where they have let enter
to the picture black angelitos
and then Where they go,
angelitos of my town,
zamuritos of Guaribe,
torditos of Windward?

Painter who pinto your earth,
if you want to paint your sky,
when you paint angelitos
acuérdate of your town
and next to the blond angel
and next to the dark-skinned angel,
although the Virgin is white,
píntame black angelitos.

I think it is incorrect to say "Drive safe." I beleive the correct way to say it is "Drive safely" because "safely" is an adverb that describes how you are to drive. Am I wrong?
