Let's have original...and amusing...I'll start it off...being a sports fan, I got a kick out of ESPN's Jason Smith saying that in the NBA "Lakers" stands for "Losing As Kobe's Ego Rockets Skyward," and "Pistons" stands for "People In Shorts Top Opponents Nightly...Sweet." What can yinz come up with?

i need to know all the funny one-word names for people, preferably short people or dwarfs, but anything will do. I have been trying to come up with something that every time people see it, they will laugh at least a little, but is not stupid or really obvious. I haven't been able to come up with much that i like. So tell away please! Thanks!

This is part of a poem for school. The stanza is this. This is the poem.

A screen door slams
A car engine starts
The yelling is finally over
But where are their hearts

The truck flies out the drive
You hope he’ll be back
You run to your room
You put his picture back in the stack

Everything falls threw
No one is there to catch you
You say to yourself “It aint worth it”
You don’t know what to do

You call up a friend
It takes her a while but she answers
She is half asleep
??????

I need help with the last sentance.

When their is a really good smell and you use your hands to scoop the air up near your nose.

How do you describe this action.

Another example: when Fat Bastard from Austin Powers was doing this to his farts. He took his hand and tried to scoop the air up to his face.

It is the name for a strategy of handling too many things to do -- it comes from the military I believe. Specifically, it originates from times when there are many wounded soldiers and not enough doctors so the doctors only help the ones with a chance to live.

Can anyone help? :D

For Example, In Julius Caesar it says the 'clock struck twelve', unfortunately, there were no clocks in that time period. They used sundials, I believe.

I am sort of stuck here...
Quod carmen ab illo iudice heri deletum erat?
Cuius filiam eo tempore amabas?
Hic liber ab omnibus civibus lectus erit.
A quibus ista femina monita erat?
Familia mea his ludis delectata est.
I'm still working on them so if anyone can help translate one, a couple, or all, it would really help me out :)
