Ok so this is part 2 of the same poem lets keep it going guys, remember this is a sombre tone regarding the winter months:

As the clock ticks and tocks
The time will waste away
The past still hasn't gone anywhere
I sleep soundlessly in my room
Dust caresses my shoes
Outside is dark and cold

I have seen this in many places, such as anime and games like Final Fantasy VIII. I can guess what the meaning of the term is, but I don't know the definition. Could somebody please tell me?

is there a dictionary that as well as giving the definition of the word also gives you a sentence in which that word would fit correctly?
to use an example i know roughly what the word promulgate means, but im not sure in which context its most often used.
