The fall of tech stocks is on concerns about a lower spend on IT in the US, on fears of a slowdown and after a collapse there of the dotcom sector which has wiped out $ 1 trillion in market capitalisation of these stocks.

I'd be thankful if you could explain "The fall of tech stocks is on concerns about a lower spend on IT in the US, on fears of a slowdown"

i've always thought the word emeritus (or emerita) was only used in connection with academic titles; however, i've seen it used to describe other professions (e.g., journalism). does one word have a more lofty connotation than the other or is that just my imagination?

Would "ultimately" be an adverb modifying "favorite," or should it be used as an adjective because "ultimate" is the maximum that can be reached for another quantitative absolute, i.e. "favorite"?

I am looking for a word that decribes the woman, who has the stuck-up nose.

She is usually physically attactive, but has a very high standard on choosing a man, gets easily upset, dumps the boyfriend very easily, acting as if she is a princess, acting like as if she is saying, " I am hard to posses". Sometimes she is arrogant.

Can you think of any word?

One Day In The Middle Of Summer When The Snow Was Coming Down Fast, I Saw A Barefooted Begger With Boots On Come Slowly Whizzing Past. He Went Round A Strait Crooked Corned And Saw A Dead Monkey Die, He Picked Up An Empty Revolver And Shot Himself In The Back Of The Eye.
Tomorrow I Went To The Pictures, I Got A Front Seat At The Back. A Lady Gave Me An Apple, I Ate It And Gave Her It Back.
