prehaps one of the most interesting words in the english language today is the word f*ck

out of all the english words that start with the letter "f", f*ck is the only one referred to as "the f word"

its the one magical word, just by its sound can describe pain, pleasure, hate & love

f*ck, as most words in the english language, is derived from german, the word "frichen" which is german for to strike

in english, f*ck falls into many gramatical categories.

as a transetive verb - john f*cked shirley

as an intransetive verb - shirley f*cks

its meaning is not always sexual, it can be used as

an adjective - john's doing all the f*cking work

as part of an adverb - shirley talks too f*cking much

as an adverb enhancing an adjective - shirley is f*cking beautiful

as a noun - i don't give a f*ck

as part of a word - abso-f*cking-lutely or in-f*cking-credible

and, as almost every word in the sentence - f*ck the f*cking f*ckers

you must realise that not many words have the versatility of the word f*ck, as in these examples describing situations such as

fraud - i got f*cked at the used car lot

dismay - oh f*ck it

trouble - i guess i'm really f*cked now

agression - don't f*ck with me buddy

difficulty - i don't understand this f*cking question

inquiry - who the f*ck was that?

dissatisfaction - i don't like what the f*ck is going on here

incompetence - he's a f*ck off

dismissal - why don't you go outside and play hide and go f*ck yourself

i'm sure you can think of many more, with all of these multi-purpose applications, how can anyone be offended when you use the word?

i say use this unique flexible word more often in your daily speech, it will identify the quality of your character immediately

say it loud and proud F*CK YOU!

It Very Much Depends On Why You Choose To Use Them In The First Place And Weather Or Not You Intend Their Use To Cause Offence Or Purely As A Tool In Self Defence When You Aren't Quick Enough To Think Of Something Smart To Say.
I Guess At The End Of The Day You Have To Ask Yourself, Are These The Kind Of Words I'd Use In Front Of A Priest, A Cop, A Judge Or Worse Still My Baby And How Would I Feel If The First Words Out Of My Baby's Mouth Were F#@$ You Mommy?
I Hope You Get The Picture And Maybe Then You'll See That Words Can Say So Much More With Just A Little Thought.

I agree with you, they're only words. It's how the listener understands them. I've studied Chaucer and he used a lot of what we consider swear words, but at the time of writing they were only words. A word most people hate for example C*nt, (I won't write the whole word because I'm sure it will cause offence) but it originally meant a gap in the hedge. Chaucer used the word, in a comical way, to describe a women's private bits and now, we think of the word as disgusting. Was it always disgusting, or did we make it that way???

they'd desire to act as though they understand the thank you to spell. those little purple lines below the words which you form mean spelling blunders. The be conscious is swear. and additionally you're lower back and lower back spelling to as too. Now then. that's not a Christian usa. in case you haven't any longer observed this at an analogous time as you have been busy playing Halo 2, the rustic has no valid faith. there are a number of distinctive religions practiced right here, no longer in basic terms yours, so which you're able to disabuse your self of that little concept precise now. apart from - Why could it discourage you if somebody says a swear be conscious? you're playing a pastime the place you would be able to desire to run around killing human beings, precise? the sport is rated Mature - which potential there is violence and swearing and grownup content textile. Yes, I think so. After all, what do the words actually mean? Do you really want to picture a piece of steaming manure every time someone talks? Or people having sex? But that is what these words mean and for people who aren't hardened to them, they are very offensive.
Again, why do people swear? They swear to show that they can, that it's "cool", that they're grown up or whatever. Does using a word describing a woman's vagina make you grown up? No, it makes you a person who uses a vulgar term to describe parts of the body most of us don't want to visualise, thank you very much.
I've heard it called a verbal assault and I think it is. People swear at other people when they're angry.
I think the world would be a better place if we didn't swear. There's actually no reason for it.

I agree that swearing is only an excuse for a limited vocabulary. Also i would like to point out that most swearwords in use in the english language are corruptions of medieval blasphemies, so if you are a practising christian it might be as well to be aware of this.
Incidentally in the UK swearing is often referred to as "Anglo -Saxon". This is a fallacy as apart from the Anglo-saxon chronicles hardly any written anglo-saxon survives and there are no profanities written there to any ones knowledge.
However one for the advocatates of healthy swearing, until the victorian moralisers cleaned up or heavily sanitised the works of William Shakespeare his works contained a liberal sprinkling of swear words still in use today.
As to whether it is wrong or right, that depends on your personal perception of wrong or right surely.

even though they are words I find that there is not point to them, they don't get anything across, only that the person has a limited vocabulary.

People who swear once in a while (the one who shock you when they do) that's OK but people who swear every other word are just disgusting and having my children have to listen to that unsocial and rude behaviour, with no regard for anyone else, is ridiculous.

I am astounded by the amount of children (3-10 yrs) that swear today. What is society coming to?????

Swearing frequently leads to a negative mind-set, whether or not anyone else hears it. Also, I would like to think that my vocabulary is good enough that I can express myself without foul language. People who swear a lot are mentally limited.

The end of the day is no different than the beginning of the day.(I realize that is just an expression)
They ARE only words, but the harmful part is what they REPRESENT. If you are spewing out harmful words, it means you are in a worse mood than if you are saying harmLESS words. I'm much more likely to avoid a person saying harmful, and hurtful words than someone saying kind words.

Only words? Words that have the power to offend and upset!

Swearing is wrong because it has the effect of making one look very unintelligent. It is also wrong because it causes offence. I know people that cannot bear to hear the word c#%t, it makes them feel ill.....

Then again, what the **** do I know? :-D
