There are other alternatives that can be used instead of or alongside tests like continuous assessment. Teachers give grades for a number of assignments over a period of time and a final grade is decided on a combination of these assignments.
Imagine these assignments are short worksheets/tests. The subject is ESL. What would you call these assignments? Progress Test to all of them or would you be more specific and use terms like Grammar Test, Vocabulary Test, etc?
