That'd be tough to calculate, and many GATEs don't use IQ per se. To estimate, though, 100 is the average IQ, and GATE students are supposed to be above average in the intelligence range. I'd guess most kids in these programs would score upwards of 150 or so.

they usually take the top 1, 2, 3, or 4, percent, depending on how big the class can be. since iq's median is 100 and its standard deviation is 15, that's prolly an iq of ... 127? ish. yeah prolly around 127 and up
