As a sophmore, I am self-studying AP Chemistry and I feel that it's not too rigorous when supplemented to my Chemistry Honors class.

However, I am planning out my schedule for next year (11th grade) and I've been considering self-studying AP Psychology and taking the test next year in May. With no Psychology class available in my high school, would it be a good idea to study the course and hope for at least a 4 on the exam? The AP classes I am going to take next year include Bio, Stats, and Comp Sci.

My main priority is to bring my AP total to 6 by the end of junior year. If AP Psyc is not a good option, are there any other easier AP courses that I can self-study next year?

I am not fishing for questions, just types of questions that are on there, and if you think it was hard or not. I really need this help right now, and greatly appreciate any advice with it.

My 8 year old daughter who is in 2nd grade took a SAT test last fall when she was 7 and I received the results today. She scored GREAT!!! She has always been able to bring home straight A's on her report cards but when I received the results I was blown away. Most of the categories showed that she was at a 4th grade level. A few said 6th grade level and her grade equivalent for Language is 8th grade level. I'm not bragging if anyone thinks that. I'm just really curious if I should be doing something about this. Is it common for a 2nd grader to recieve results like this? I don't think it is but I don't know. She's my oldest child and I'm new at this. I'd like to ask here first before I speak with her teacher. No need to embarrass myself or my daughter. :) Thanks for your opinions.

I've been studying for quite a long time, but the only two areas I haven't been working on much is the passage-based reading questions and the essay (I try to, but I never have enough time to cover them as much because I have to divide my day into three parts: SAT studying for Critical Reading/Writing - Schoolwork - SAT studying for Math. I'm homeschooled for one thing, and I need to put a lot of time into Math).

Help! What should I do?!

Being the mad person I am, I have decided to take the AP world history test without actually taking the class. (The class isn't offered at my school.) I have fairly strong writing skills and am currently acing my regular world history class (and applying no real effort, unfortunately). I'm also reading what I'm pretty sure is an AP world history textbook. At a chapter a day, I'll have it finished about a week and a half before the actual exam. My memory is pretty good, so I should retain most of what I read. If there is anything I find particularly interesting or confusing, I do research on the internet or look up in a different book. I've already read over some essay prompts from previous years on the collegeboard.

What else should I do to prepare? Are there books I should buy? Specific regions or time periods I should concentrate on? Are people and dates and events more important than themes or cultures? Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ray
