I think the D32/D33 qualification no longer exists. Am I right?

The D32/33 was replaced by the A units. If you have your D units though you can still assess. D34 was replaced by the V unit award[Internal Verifier.

you also need to be occupationally competent in the area you will be assessing in and have a relevant qualification in that field

That's news to me - my Local College is teaching the D32 and D33 Qualifications.

The quals are now A1 and V1 - A is the assessors award and V is the the Interval Verifiers award.
