“As you grow older, you'll see white men cheat black men every day of your life, but let me tell you something and don't you forget it - whenever a white man does that to a black man, no matter who he is, how rich he is, or how fine a family he comes from, he is trash”

"Did it matter at this point; that she must inevitably cease, completely. All this must go on without her, did she resent it? Or did it not become consoling to believe that death ended absolutely. It is possible to die, it is possible to die."

I'd like to use some famous quotations on merchandise that I will be selling. Are quotations copyrighted? I know that similar questions have been asked but I didn't find the answers overly helpful.

Thank you :)

"I'm a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it" - Thomas Jefferson

In my opinion, he believes luck is hard work; that being lucky is having work to do,
but I don't know how I can expand this.
Any help?
It'd be appreciated! Thanks.

I am looking for the latin form of this quote from Cicero:

"A room without books is like a body without a soul."

Please give the source of your translation. I've already looked it up on one of those online english to latin translators, but anyone who speaks more than one language and has used those knows there's always room for errors. This is what I got from one of the translation sites:

"A cella vacuus libri est amo a somes vacuus a animus"

Thanks in advance!

"If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing".

i do not agree with it because i dont think that you have to do something worth writing to be remembered. I just want some other opinions. do you agree or disagree and why
