Most of you are thinking about this in modern day terms. When the phrase originated it just meant a girl who was out for a good time, i.e. to enjoy herself, it had nothing to do with sex, in other words, it just meant she was not interested in serious relationships and settling down. Nowadays, it seems that many (before you get all uppity, I said 'many', not ALL) guys and girls seem to think that unless they are having lots of sex they are not having a good time.

If its a lads perception which i take its prob is, then its a girl/lady who likes to be out and about, sleeping around or shacking up with lads, or kissing the face of them. The type of girl a lad wouldnt bring home, but would take to a hotel room or bed sit, depending on how bad she was. Dont be one if you want respect, because the only respect a good time girl has from a man, is before he has slept with her, after that its, YEAH I HAD HER TO.

usually a term meaning either a prostitute or a woman of "low morals" but sometimes used to disparage women who managed to enjoy themselves in a way which was counter to the social mores of the day. By 1940's standards, probably most modern girls would earn this title; how times change!

originally meant as a monicker for a loose women. nowdays just a girl that like a good time. does not have to be sexual.
