Ok, I have this speech for communication class in which I have to introduce another classmate. After getting a little info on my partner I saw that she was really interested with little kids like her major was early childhood education, she worked at a day care, and so on and so forth. For my speech we have to utilize a theme in which we can talk about the person, to make it a little interesting. So basically I wanted to figure out how to talk about her in a way where a theme of children could play in or something on that line. Please Help!! Thanks =]

I will be taking care of children in my home and I need ideas for activities I can do with them and how much should I charge per week, should I make contracts? I want to watch children that are 2 to 4 years old, because I have a two year old that is home with me and I want children that are close to his age. I want to provide them with educational activities that will be fun but inexpensive. Anything else I should consider?

She is not fully potty trained and is quite disruptive at times. I guess I am asking the patience level of the teachers as her class will have about 20 other kids. Anyone have or had children in pre school to relate their experiences or difficulties?

I think to many parents rush there kids into school to fast. The first years of there life should be learning from there parents and not some -who knows teacher. Bottom line any kid who puts there little child in pre-school is not a good parent. Raise your kids and stop using pre-school as a way to get rid of them for part of the day.

My son just started kindergarden last week and was fine for the 1st 2 days but now is having meltdowns every morning in front of all the other kids, parents and his teacher. Thank goodness he has a very good teacher who is working thru this with him but it definaly makes for a very difficult morning. She says he's fine once I leave but not only is it frustrating, but its emotionally really hard on my son and I both. Its definatly an adjust,ent because in preschool he went 2 days a week and only to 12:30-he now goes all week to 2:00pm whcih is like an eternity. Any suggestions on how to get him to calm down in the morning and not be so upset??

some religion to be taught? I have enrolled my son in preschool and he starts in 2 wks. There is no religion being taught, no prayers, they will tell the story of Easter, Christmas and sing the occasional Jesus Loves Me.
Im disappointed. I just learned this after going to the Open House last night. I looked into the preschool before but never really go the whole story till last night but I expected more-would you? another preschool we looked at say a morning prayer, a dismissal prayer and have a short bible story or devotional daily. (they are now full!!)

well, i am actually a college student majoring in elementary education, i started working in a private daycare, and now they all of a sudden put me in charge of a 4year old preschool class.... i love the kids, and the fact that i was given the oppurtunity, its just that i am a little scared.... is there any tips you can give me, any websites ANYTHING PLEASE!!

A man and his wife were having some problems at home
and were giving each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:0 0 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
"Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it. The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up." Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.
