Jasmine, Rose, and Lily each had an entry in the county fair's flower competition. Coincidentally, the flowers they entered were a jasmine, a rose, and a lily, but not in that order--in fact, none of the three competitors entered her namesake flower. If, in addition, you know that Jasmine did not enter a rose, can you figure out which flower each woman entered?

Which flower did each girl have?
A. Lily had lily, Rose had rose and Jasmine had jasmine.
B. Jasmine had rose, Rose has jasmine, and Lily had lily.
C. Lily had rose, Jasmine had lily and Rose had jasmine.
D. Rose had lily, Lily had jasmine and Jasmine had jasmine.

I'm currently working on a project for my Current World Problems class. The project is in regards to the biggest world issue, everyone in the class was assigned a global issue. Our task is basically to come up with the best solution for the issue and present it to the class in a UN-like manner.

So my topic is Carbon Emissions and the increase and it's effect on Global Warming, etc. I'm supposed to present a solution to the security council, HOWEVER, I have NO clue what I should suggest as a solution. I've done all the research but I can't really think of anything that would work.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? I'd appreciate it! :)

I'm trying to figure this out.
I know that the atomic number is the number of protons, and I know that the atomic mass minus the atomic number is the number of neutrons.
I know that you get the electrons by doing something with the ion charges and the atomic number, but I don't remember what it is. I'm confused. Heeeeeeeelp!!!

Please help! I really want to make this perfect!

Usually when the term veteran comes to mind, you picture an elderly person who fought in a war that you are forced to read about in a history class. I must say though, that the people who think that way are incorrect. Veterans are a living, breathing part of history.
Some of them have fought in battles synonymous with American history, such as Iwo Jima, Normandy, and D-Day. Others have dropped bombs on the Viet Cong, or have liberated concentration camps. Few might have even seen some of the most notorious generals of the century, like Hitler or Stalin.
Even if you didn’t take part in a history making battle, you still did something to help America achieve a victory. Every veteran is special because of that. That is why veterans are so important to our country.
