But seriously, to reduce violence you need to reduce the things that cause people to be violent. Violence isn't the CAUSE of problems, it's the EFFECT of bigger problems we have in society.
When we have less violence, we'll know that we've addressed the real problems that lead to violence like poverty, feeling alone and misunderstood, racism, abuse, fear, and selfishness.

government taxes will not be wasted on reducing violence
(as much)
a better : environment to live in
hospitals will not always be full
peace in the city
better economy because entrepreneurs feel more safe to invest in the the city.

It keeps people out of already overcrowded jails and prisons. Domestic violence causes physical and mental trauma in families that can last a lifetime. It can split apart families. Violence usually begets more violence (revenge).

Because violence causes death, its creates problem in society, its damages the economy, interrupts society, business, creates instability, causes the stocks to fall, its ruin the political system, creates anarchy...etc

violence is not healthy. just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you don't have to be nice to them. that's how I was raised...but it would seem that the mean people have more friends and are more popular...but whatever.
