Homework Help - February 2007

I've asked this a couple times on here, and its only because I dont know how else to get people to take my survey in larger numbers...any suggestions? Obviously, the more people who take it ther better...

line segment CD the mid point is (2, -5/2) and the end point is C (-2,-1)

are the coordinates of the other endpoint D(6,4)

i used the mid point formula it did this

-2-x
--------=2
2

i mulitplied by 2 and got
-2-x=4
-x=6
x=-6


and then i did

-1-y
-------= -5/2
2

i muliplied by 2 and got

-1-y=-5
-y=-4
y=4
2

and if that is right then what is the distance between the 2

i have to write a sonnet about one of the characters of ROMEO AND JULIET it just has to have normal Shakespearean structure the whole abab cdcd efef gg thing and 10 syllables in each line thank god theres no need of iambic pentameter

i have really tried its just that sonnets dont come to me

I want a sound clip to play while the slide show plays.
First problem is. I cant get the slide show to play. It is on manual where I have to click to get pages to change. Is there a way to make it change every 3 second or something.
Then Can I make the sound clip play for the whole show and not for just one page. It keeps stopping when I change to the next page. Please help Thanks

Hey can u help me make a graph with the data.?
The results are below, i don't know what the x-axis is supose to be and what the y-axis is supose to be. ok so this is what it says: graph the lines and find the area of the triangle enclosed by the lines. I have to do 3 problems
1) y=x+2, y=2, x=6
2) y= -1/2x +3, y= 0, x= -2
3) y=3/4 x-2, y= -2, x= 4

I just finished writing an essay on someone who is a leader in my life and i chose my grandma. I have been writing all day and suddenly have hit a wall. I have everything done except a conclusion. Would anybody be able to come up with a good conclusion?? I just want to say how my grandma is a big leader in my life. In the rest of the essay i said how she helped everyone cheer up after her daughter died as an adult and how she helps the community by volunteered at a hospital for 30+ years so we could tie that in.

Tristan and Alfred are two of the three brothers that show comparison and contrast in the story, Legends of the Fall. Of the two men Alfred is the one that I like the most and has the least conficts. There are three things that describe their conflicts. They are man vs. nature, society (man), and self.
Tristan is the more likely westernized and loves nature a little more than other people. At the age of 10 when his pet died, he used his pet’s skin to cover his pillowcase so that he could always remember how much fun they had (page 205). Another conflict would have been with society. Tristan deals with the hood of violence. He kills people and is not afraid to die. There was an incident where he was at a horse track when he saw a man that owed him something. There was a hay fork hanging which Tristan pushed the guy right into it and killed him on the spot.
The last conflict has to do with himself. Is Tristan willing to change his actions and become a better person?

I really, really, really, don't understand this stuff. If you could that would be great. Okay...here's the problem:

8a3(the a is to the third just remeber that in all the other ones too.)

8a3 -12a2+6a-9=(I have to group them)

8a3-12a2+6a-9=(8a3-12a2)+(6a-9)
=4a2(2a-3)+3(2a-3)

I thought the answer was (2a-3)(2a-3), but the book says it's (4a2+3)(2a-3). I don't get that. Please explain it to me. Thanks!!

Ok, i feel really dumb. i am trying to do a report on Booker T. Washington and we are supposed to use the internet and books for our information.
