I think you may have misunderstood Iambic Pentameters. Iambic Pentameters automatically generate lines with ten syllables since there will be five (penta) Iambs (groups of two syllables) in a (metre), line. This is the normal Shakespearean sonnet line structure with the stress on the second syllable:

"Shall I | compare | thee to | a sum | mer's day"

You find virtually the whole of Romeo and Juliet written in Iambic Pentameter:

" If ev | er you | disturb | our streets | again\

your lives | shall pay | the for | fiet of | the peace"

I can't write your poem for you but I can give you some tips for finding it easier to write. First find a character...also try to end with words that are easy to rhyme. Like if you end a sentence with "man" you can use "can" or "banned"...wasn't Romeo banned from Verona? I read it last year...so that might help a bit. Or if you are doing Juliet you can use the words forget, regret, upset... I might not be much help right now because I'm half asleep but I'm sure you'll do fine! Good luck! =)

Wow! That's a hard one.
Good Luck with that.

But try to do the sonnet on one of the lesser characters instead of Romeo or Juliet.

Bonus points.

Do the sonnet on Queen Mab.. the dream fairy person
