Algebra 2 Help!!!-logarithms?

Question

Looking through the CA standards, it says 'students can use the definition of logarithms to translate between logarithms in any base.' what does this mean? please give an explanation and an example!! Thanks a ton.

Lotarithms it the log button on the calculator. when u put 100log, it basically says 10 to the what power get u 100

when 100 log 2, it asks 2 to what gives u 100
and so on
