Hmmm, mighty confussing!
Each line formula is followed by a point that seems to have nothing to do with the line.
For example in 1)
y = x +2 is the equation for a straight line, but the point (x,y) or(6,2) does not lie on this line!
You should be able to graph the three lines by plotting two points for each line, when x = 0 and when y = 0 and drawing a straight line through them. You could then extend the lines so they intersect and approximate the area by counting graph blocks within the triangle...
Sorry, best I could make of this problem!

i'm going to attempt to describe the suited i can: before everything, whenever you desire to unravel for a variable (accordingly x), you should place the variable on one section and the different numbers on the different. So first positioned the x on the left part of the equation. to try this, you will word that x is unfavorable (-x). because of this, to stability the equation, you upload constructive x to the two section: 5 + x = 8 - x + x Now, you already know that -x + x equals 0, so which you would be able to now take that out of the equation: 5 + x = 8 Now you should place the 5 on the your best option section so x may well be on my own. you already know that 5 is a great extensive type (+5), with the point to stability the equation, you subtract 5 on the two section: 5 - 5 + x = 8 - 5 5 - 5 equals 0, so which you would be able to now take that out of the equation: x = 8 - 5 you may now resolve x definitely. x = 3 So this suggests the spectacular answer is x = 3 If we plug in 3 to the equation, we will se that it extremely is real. 5 = 8 - 3 5 = 5 i'm hoping this helps =)

for number one
y=x+2
think of any number that u can substitute for x... for example "2"
y=2+2
y=4
the ordered pair u get is (2,4) now plot it on the plane
look for another number that u can substitute for x (ex: 1)
y=1+2
y=3
ur ordered pair will be (1,3) plot this again then connect the dots
u'll get a diagonal line which increases from left to right...
now let's do the next 2
y=2 and x=6 how do u graph it? it's easy... if the y is given but not x, x can be any number, if the x is given but not y, y can be any number.
i'll pick my own numbers (remember, u need at least two ordered pairs for each equation to graph a line)
for y=2 (1,2) and (-2,2) now i graph it, i get a horizontal line
for x=6 (6,1) and (6,3) i graph it and i get a vertical line
i'm not that gud in geometry though so i can't help u with finding the area... sorry....

1) y=x+2, y=2, x=6
2=6+2
2=8
2) y= -1/2x +3, y= 0, x= -2
0=-1/2(-2)+3
0=1+3
0=4
3) y=3/4 x-2, y= -2, x= 4
-2=3/4(4)-2
-2=3-2
-2=1
