I was assigned homework tonight of roughly 20 problems... out of these 20 there were 3 total that were worth extra credit. I have a pretty bad teacher, and her words were, "You won't know how to do these, but if you do, you'll get a few points." She never even taught us how to do these 3 and she expects me to get them?

1. x^3 - 12x + 16 = 0

2. x^3 - 12x - 16 = 0

3. x^3 - 3x - 2 = 0

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd love to prove her wrong!

Many kids today cannot be trusted their always finding a way to become part of the “In Crowd.” Many times, this could mean students start to take on drugs, drink alcohol, or even commit a crime. To make America a better nation locker searches should adhere throughout our public schools, because the crime and drug use will compress even more in schools.
Locker searches are one of the surveillances we need in schools. It will control the use of drugs and the end to violence in schools. Every school day at least 100,000 students bring guns to school, and 40 students are hurt or killed by firearms. If locker searches are conducted students will think twice before bringing something illegal to school. School officials feel the same way and they think it can be helpful. They point out to schools in Eugene, Oregon, and San Diego, California where the student lockers have been removed to prevent their misuse.
Locker searches should continue in schools. The best thing to do would be to announce students that there are going to be locker searches in the future and they have to go through it. Other safety techniques would include metal detectors, drug sniffing dogs, security guards, whatever we need to insure safety. Everybody should be told that the reason for the search is not punishment, but it’s to motivate students to keep everybody safe and obeying the school rules. That their here to promote good, not bad.
Every Student thinks that searching lockers is an invasion of privacy like it says in the 4th amendment. A duty was placed on schools to provide a safe learning environment, and that’s more important than the civil rights of students. It’s obvious that if a student is faced with a locker search they will just find another hiding pace, but it doesn’t mean they should take total control over the most obvious place in school. Without the skill to inspect lockers students will feel safe and know they could hide illegal items without fear. Students know that illegal items aren’t supposed to be in schools. Since it was so hard for students to follow the rules, schools had no choice but to insure safety. Even if there is a privacy problem students gave up that right and in return schools got a wider help of safety.
As I said before to make America a better nation we need to have locker searches. Schools will then be a safe learning environment for students where there is no need to hide anything, because it’s all part of being in a school community where you have to accept these rules and responsibilities.

I am in Honors English and was wondering whether there is a weighted GPA benefit or if it's only for AP classes?

I feel as if I would do SO much better in regular english and don't know if I should drop this class after first semester. I'm not getting any better in that class and it's giving me way too much stress. Will it look bad on my transcript if I drop this class and move to regular English second semester?
