I was out of school almost all last week, and so my math teacher gave me the assignments I missed. He accidentally gave me the next class' homework too, so I had already done it when he assigned it. So he said that for my homework, I had to find the volume of my house! I guess that he doesn't realize that I don't live in a square box! I have a seven-sided livingroom and an eight-sided diningroom. The house itself is I think nine-sided. So this is no easy task, especially since we never went over in class how to find the area of irregular shapes.
So for example, my livingroom's sides measure 125", 94", 68", 49", 65", 50", and 156", and the ceiling is 9'2" high. How would I determine the volume of the room? Please don't just give me the answer I need to know how to do it! Thanks!

The drama club is planning a dinner theater to raise money. They spoke with the caterer, who quoted a one time cost of $130 per performance, plus $8 each patron. ( In other words, if they serve only one person, the charge would be $138 ;for two people the charge would be $146 ($130 +$8 + $8). After talking with students and adults, club members realized that they could set the ticket price no higher than $15 each. ) The auditorium where the drama club will perform can accomodate no more than 80 people.)

Prepare a repot to the drama club, in which you describe the costs and discuss how much money can be made from one performanc. Be sure to indicate the minimum number of tickets that must be sold to pay the catere. Good acounting practice requires that you show all calculations in your report.
