what is the relationship between cubic centimeters and milliliters?

well, for the similarities...the metric system and the volume/cubage things are about it.

a difference to note is that cubic centimeters would be used to measure dry/solid objects and cubic milliliters would be used to measure wet/liquid objects.

They are both units of volume.
10 centiliters = 1 milliliter
I'm 99% sure that a centiliter IS a cubic centimeter

Ironically they are the same volume. Millimeter is liquid and cubic cm is solid, but they both, in the end, take up the same space.
