Christ came to the earth and started His church and gave instruction on how it is to be ran and also when to go. He gave instruction that we are to follow our elders and when they set up church times we are to go. We are told not to forsake the fellowship!!! I was shocked that more did not know this.

School starts tomorow. I am in the 8th grade. I got into a program that lets me take advanced Math and Spanish at the high school in the morning. I also am in reading enrichment and math enrichment classes at my middle school. Last year I used to be be in the math and reading gifted class. I got A's in both. Are reading and math enrichment class for the gifted, average, or students who need extra help?

I got a letter from the National Society of High School Students, an organization apparently in GA. It says to join I only need to pay a $45 membership fee. If I cannot, I can send in my income tax forms (with ssn blocked) as a request for a fee waiver. Is this legitamite or not? I have gotten confusing responses from the Internet and people I know. Here is my opening paragraph. I need one more sentence for the opening paragraph according to my teacher. I'm going to add it at the end. Here is my opening paragraph so far:

America was not always a country where all races, ethnicities and religions were celebrated. From the seventeenth century to the middle of the nineteenth century there were plantations where slaves from Arica worked all day for no pay and just enough food to not starve. However, after slavery was abolished in the middle of the nineteenth century, life for the freed slaves was not much better. African Americans suffered from bigotry, discrimination, and segregation from the middle of the nineteenth century to the m middle of the twentieth century. [Closing sentence for opening paragraph]

What should the closing sentence for my opening paragraph be so I could get into the hardships of blacks? What will connect the opening to the body? I just need one clever sentence that will smoothly get into the paper.
