Skibo was the name of a castle Carnegie bought in Scotland. Here's a pic. http://shelf1.library.cmu.edu/Andrew/19.htm

It also was the name of the former student union at CMU. there is now a gymnasium and a coffee house named after it.

Hope this helps.

I believe Skibo was Andrew Carnegie's Scottish castle.

Skibo is the coffee shop in the University Center. It was still there last time I was there (7 years ago) although its probably closed for the summer. I think it was also the name of the old Student Center thats gone now.
