My boyfriend and I went to Cody's Restaurant and after eating our appetizers our dinner wasn't still ready so we decided to have a cigarette...we told our waitress we.d be right back...,..she then demanded car keys or something....right in front of everyone....I was sooo embarrassed because I never heard of such a thing...but gave them to her because everyone was staring...I felt totally insulted.....we didn't even have our dinner yet....when our dinner was ready we asked for to-go cartons because we were too embarrassed to stay because we were sooo insulted and felt soo uncomfortable....people kept staring at us because of the scene we made...NOTHING like that has ever happened to me...is that normal?

We have several Chinese buffets in town that assign a waiter/waitress to each table to bus the used dishes and keep the beverage glasses filled. Even though we get our own food from the buffet tables, we always leave a tip. Does anyone do the same?

mcky D's and Kfc, BK and wendys, Pizza Hut or dennys. Every one of theese hells on earth, have alternative real restaurants that arent going to kill you.... chain restaurants are a thing of the past, "they are so yesterday" so why are people still harming thier bodies and the bodies of thier loved ones, for a fast food fix.

I don't know if any of you have tried The Melting Pot or if you even have this particular rest. in your area. I live in NC and my hubby and I went there Friday to celebrate our anniversary. It's a fondue rest. where you cook your own food right at your table. We had the best dinner I've ever had and I was in the rest. business for 9 years. The atmosphere, the food, the service were terrific. The prices were a bit exorbent but with a 4 course meal I really can't complain. If any of you get a chance to try it we had:

Wisconsin cheese fondue with bread, veggies and granny smith apples.
Mushroom salad
Coq a vin fondue with filet, terriaki sirloin, tiger shrimp and lobster with veggies
and flaming turtle chocolate fondue

Dinner took about an hour and a half. It was well worth the time and the money spent. Especially for a special occassion. You can even go just for dessert. OMG it was delicious!

and if you're in Greensboro, definately ask for Beth. She was outstanding!

Just wondering. Have ya'll watched the movie "Waitinng"? Do you think that kind of thing really happens? I'm a server and have put up with some very unbelievable characters while doing my job. It's amazing how people act and what they do while they are out dining. I won't lie, Iv'e been tempted to lick somebody's steak or put some dishwater in their refill just to get revenge on unnecassary rudeness, but I have too much class. What gives? I can honestly say that most people I have served are wonderful and very generous, but for those few people that thinks the world owes them something, lol...have you ever heard of this saying "What goes around comes around"?
