Hands Down it is the Villa Santa Monica Italian Restaurant in St. Augustine Florida. It is a small Mom and pop restaurant where everything is cooked from scratch the old world way and it looks and tastes like you are actually dining in Italy, I swear its true. Everything they make is super awesome, but it is hard to eat your way through the menu because it has about 90 items on it but it is all good. The chef is the same one for the last 20 years and dang if he doesn't do everything the same consistently time after time. Chef Franco was the original inventor of Pasta Primavera. He makes his own sauces and stocks from scratch. Every year on my vacation I just have to go to Saint Augustine just to be able to eat again at the Villa Santa Monica, and I always order a case of their Marinara sauce and one of their meat sauce to take home. I once saw their collection of notebooks that their customers sign with their comments, and it is phenomenal that maybe only one in 5000 comments is not unbelievably praising and with words like "Amazing" and "Best" and "Fabulous", so I'm not the only one with this opinion. Chef Franco there also makes all the desserts, They have the absolute best Tiramisu, cannoli and Sfogliatelle I ever tasted and I live in New York. Some of famous people that have frequented the Villa are Harrison Ford, Lauren Bacall and Florence Henderson. I even saw their pictures with the owners on the wall. I wish I could see them, too but I just go for the food. Once when I was there they had a strolling accordionist that was so cool. Don't get me started because I will go on and on. This is a Great Restaurant and I tell all of my freinds who have all later agreed with me. Sorry, I almost forgot to say what my favorite food there is. That is a hard one but I really love their Fresh Minestrone and I think their Veal Saltimbocca is scrumptious.

I don't know about the United States,I have onbly been to a few and the best places to eat were in chicago, however in Costa Mesa ,California the best restaurant is Darya and everything is good there, I think the food is Persian or Indian and it is all good

I am not sure about the US, but in ATL there are so many great restaurants lately... OMG, lick your fingers great! Anise - French restaurant (love their mussel appetizer - It's to DIE FOR!), Blue Point - very upscale, everything I tried I could give my left arm for. Emeril's Grill - oh, what else can I say. The overall experience was A+++. Food, service, decor and price were phenomenal!

Lambert's. They are in Missouri and Foley, Alabama. They throw these HUGE yeast rolls at everybody. Then, when they bring your food, not only is it delicious, but there's so much you can't even eat half. Think Cracker Barrel on steroids. Country fried steak can't be beat!
