I would like to decline. But thank you for giving me the opportunity to refuse. That is so very gentleman-like of you. I would take you up on it but how do I know this offer is one you can make. I would not want to put myself in a vulnerable position by taking you up on another offer you may not be able to make. If on the other hand you could make me an offer I can't refuse, I would have no choice but to take you up on it because it would be an offer I couldn't refuse and I do not have the ability to decline something that I can't refuse. Even if it were possible for me to, I would not refuse, because you seem so likable.
