I work in a small but busy restaurant in Minneapolis Minnesota, we have had an issue with people making reservations on the patio so that they can bring their dogs. We have no rule and the staff is split. Dogs or no dogs?

There used to be a Pizza Hut in East Hartford,CT. It had a Taco Bell on its left and a vet's office nearby. There was a fire and the building still stands for 2 years but nothing is being done. Does anyone know if there is going to be another Pizza Hut? Is that property for sale? What is the town planning to do with it?

Ingredients, tools, and method needed to reproduce the coffee drink Starbucks calls a "Carmel Macchiato" (I am sure that is mis-spelled).

How would you interpret a blank slip of paper in a fortune cookie? You'll never guess what the waitress at the Chinese restaurant in my town told us when we asked her what it meant.

I know that waiters and waitresses don't make crap without their tips and I respect that!

However, if I am treated rudely or ignored beyond acceptable (note: I mean way beyond appropriate service) is it bad to not tip them?

I had to do this the other day; but please understand our waitress was rude whenever we asked for anything additional, she never returned to get us refills (we had to catch a busperson going by), the place wasn't any busier than their norm (we go there now & then), our food was undercooked (I understand this isn't her fault) and well you get the point!

I felt bad not giving a tip, but on the other hand did she deserve it?

I will be visiting the two cities and was looking for recommendations on dining. In Baltimore in the Inner Harbor and anywhere in or around Cambridge, MD. Any price range/food type, just looking for quality eats.

I have to get this off my chest because I just got cussed out by some blue hair bible thumper because I was enjoying my usual after dinner pipe in the VERY BACK of the smoking section at a very large restaurant.
If you hate smoking, do not go to a restaurant that has a smoking section. That's the best way to get that restaurant to quit allowing smoking there, bitching at me will do no good. NOBODY has died from second hand smoke and there has NOT been any cases reported to the American Medical Association showing that second hand smoke does anything to non smokers except make their clothes smell bad.
If my smoking offends you, all I'm going to say is "I'm sorry"
Remember this: There is nowhere in the constitution that says you have the right to not be offended. Am I a jerk for puffing on a pipe? Maybe. But I do have a constitutional right to be a jerk if I want to.

The point is, if you go to a restaurant that has a smoking section, expect there's going to be smokers.
