We are planning a family birthday (my Grandad's 82nd) and need some help to find a good restaurant in Birmingham (UK) that will satisfy all of our tastes. We want to go on a Saturday night to somewhere that has a good atmosphere but is quite sophisticated. My sister has a very limited palate and so does her boyfriend, so they would be quite happy with Chicken and Chips!

Does anyone have any recommendations that would suit us all?

We were thinking the Mailbox originally but there are a lot of 'themed' restaurants there - i.e. French, Indian, Chinese and Japanese - and this would not suit the fussy eaters!

Any help would be most appreciated :)

i went to a pub today and had to go outsite for a *** which was ok as it was not that cold but what will it be like in dec? i just think why sell them if you cant smoke them anywhere in uk will people stop going to pubs?

I have just brought a Quarter pounder, virtually took my last bite and i have what looks like a piece of sheered metal half the size of a UK penny. I have informed Mcdonalds who said to return the object for testing. Offered me a free meal! I dont want a free meal i just found metal in the last one. me and this girl were on and off about a year ago, she's back from uni now and we got with each other straight away again, then the next time i saw her nothing happened, now i know i like her, it just feels awkward when im in the same place as her, i dont know wot to say. i txt her sayin i like her but she doesn't give me a straight answer. is she playin hard to get??
