Gosh, I'm sorry. I now live in Washington DC. I have lived in London, Paris, Athens, Beirut, Montreal, Philly, and Houston. I spent about a year in Birmingham, and I have visited often as I have close relatives there, and I don't believe that it is unfairly underrated. I wonder which is worse, Houston or Brum. Both are the pitts! Solihull is nice. So are some of the other suburbs of Brum. Okay, maybe there is one shop in Brum you can buy clothes and one where you can get your hair done nicely, but they charge an arm and a leg because they have no competition. It is truly a pitiful place. If you're happy there, you must have a great attitude and loyalty to your town.

underated..? i guess it is.. since i have never in all my years.. heard anyone say one thing about that city..other than civil rights news. sorry wrong birmingham. never heard about it either..lol
