You should go to the department of health and inform them so that they can get all that fixed because next time that could be a child eating that burger and the could lose their teeth on choke on it and die. Thank you in advance because i have a 5 yr old niece that loves McDonald's.

It was probably a piece of metal from the choppers they use to grind the burgers, also they use automatic metal knifes to bone meat for hamburger. I would not return it to them, they will loose it and then it is just their word against yours. Get an independent lab to test it. The day before Thanksgiving we drove out of town to stay at a motel, we stopped along the way at a Kentucky Fried Chicken. When we got to the motel we decided to eat the chicken and mashed potatoes. There were ants crawling all over everything in the sack. The temperature was near zero degrees, 32 degrees below freezing, the ants would not have come from the car. I did email KFC and they sent a coupon for a free meal, and we lost $17.00 worth of food. I never kept the sack or the food, I took it out to the outside garbage cans at the motel. When I emailed them I just wanted them to admit they had a problem at the one store and apologize.

Take the name of the manager, if you have a witness, the name of the witness and address, the time and location.
Useful would be a sanpshot of the quarterpounder, of the metal piece.
And a snapshot of the McDonalds Branch with exact address.
Then, mail all your evidence to headoffice McDonalds.
If no response, go to : complaints.com, planetfeedback.com,
classactionsuit.com.
Post your full complaint on the web, with copies to local health authorities. Find out who is in charge in your area, and copy
the letters (email) to the Food and Drugs Administration, HO)
Always make sure you send a copy of each mail to McDonalds
Headoffice.
If you want let me handle your complaint.

A few years ago, I bought a can of Pepsi in a liquor store, walked out to my car and opened it. Took a sip, and it was BEER inside the Pepsi can!! SO, I got upset because what if a child opened one of these and drank it? Or someone who CANT drink alcohol drank it? I called Pepsi and told them. Within one hour they had a rep go down to the liquor store and remove about 15 cases of Pepsi. They took my name and phone #.
Within two hours the rep was at my front door with 10 cases of Pepsi and $2000.00 as a "settlement". I didnt even say anything about suing and I wasnt going to.
Just a thought for you though..................
I would definetely report it! What if a child choked on it? or got cut by it? or if you broke a tooth.
I would take it further just to protect yourself and others.
Good luck.

You're lucky you didn't break a tooth or worse! You probably don't need to sue them, just the threat, with a lawyer involved will cause them to offer a settlement.

Tell them you'd rather have an apology and to give you your money back instead of the free meal. I bet you won't have an argument from them.
