Okay, you could stay and dine at either the Radisson, Malmaison or Hotel du Vin.

For food, there's also Simpson's in Edgbaston which is supposed to be fantastic.

Malmaison could be good though as you could buy him something posh from Harvey Nics or Armani which are right in The Mailbox too.

Also, the Motor Show is on (at the NEC I think) in a couple of weeks ... not posh but very much to do with cars!

if he is as considerate as you are, he may appreciate a little change. plan a day out doing something completely different than usual, like eating at a restaurant that serves a nice assortment of southern foods or a food not too off the wall but different from his norm and try two of the entrees that neither of you have tried before , then order a couple of pairing drinks that neither of you have tried before after all is done go to his favorite bar or choose somewhere he recognizes as his pasttime and discuss what just happened and how he feels about it. you wil find out a lot of new things about your loved one and it gives you a chance to step on fresh ground and build a newer relationship

I would go for Simpson's (Simpsons - 20 Highfield Road , Edgbaston - 0121 454 3434) http://www.sugarvine.com/Birmingham/reviews/review_detail.asp?restaurantid=23660&name=Simpsons

It was rated the Michelin Star one year, but that doesn't say whether it still stands? I know my mate went there a year ago and said that it was fab! It probably is because once you get the "star", you have to keep it up, or it will get taken away... they're very fickle these top chefs!! Haha!

Either that, if you fancy staying in Brum, I would definitley try Hotel Du Vin, as it's just perfect and cosy! Really chic... and you could even get him a room too!

tell him to stop being so greedy. Get him a piece of gum and throw it at him and say "Hows that for expensive taste ya greedy bastard?"

then you can divorce him.

or dont do that and just buy him a nice expensive watch. Omega is a great brand. Very expensive.

I would tell him you're going to take him for a special meal. Have a limo ordered to take you both to the airport and fly off to somewhere really different for a weekend. Have your meal pre booked in a fabulous restaurant!

Buy a steak for him and as it comes near to rare which is medium cookes splash a bit of wine to make the flavour real expensive even though it is. you could also buy some sexy underwear for after the meal if you get me....nothing like working off a big feed in the old for post bed!!!!!
