im really confused- if u have an electronic devise with GPRS can u get on the interent at all times any time w/o have to b at a "hotspot"?

I have a Tungsten C, and the screen makes an audible buzzing or humming sound (though it's more of a buzz than a hum).

The buzzing stops when you press the screen.

Of course, it's pretty difficult to sit there are read something if you have to continually touch the screen.

I've tried updating the software, doing a reset, reformatting - nothing seems to help.

Any ideas?

i have a fujitsu siemens pocket pc and im trying 2 install msn on 2 it but it comes up with the message that my version is not a valid pocket pc apllication does any1 know where i can get an up2date version of msn for a pocket pc?

I am installing a "family origanizer" workstation in my house, where my wife and I can place out PDAs (one Mobile Office and one Palm) and generate one complete schedule/calendar for all of our activities and stuff. Does anyone have any ideas? I would like to avoid buying MS Office JUST for Outlook.

I am going to buy a PDA this week and need some advice. I am going to be using it primarily for email and as a personal organiser, but I will also spend time using the internet and using it to edit word and excel documents while I am on the train to work. I've looked around and the dell axim x51 seems the best bet. But what do you guys think? I need the following features in the pda:

- Wireless, Bluetooth,
- Windows Mobile or the ability to open and edit word and excel docs
- large screen for "on the go presentations"
- decent email facility (a plus would be a good IMAP facility)
- easy to use browser that isnt restricted in not using certain features (eg. javascript,css)
- voice recording

I'm sure theres more but thats a good start.

What would you recommend? My budget is very flexible.

I just bought this phone/pda and HAVE NOT purchased any kind of internet or email features as yet. I want to know if /how I can take pics with the camera and transfer them to my pc. I have activesync installed. Is this what I need or is it simpler than that? I have the USB cord that connects the phone to the PC . Ijust want to get the pics from the phone and into "MY PICS" on the computer so I can post them in classified ads. Please start from the beginning and explain as though I'm a five year old as I am obviously not very technically sound.
