a japanese ps3 will cost me $150 cheaper than an american ps3, i've researched the net and it seems that i can create an account with american networks and shop and play pal or ntsc-u games, however i couldn't seem to find out if i can upgrade my ps3 firmware from the american playstation site, needless to say the japanese site is not in english and i presume that instructions might be in kanjii

Ok i got the update from xbox.com to have my xbox 360 play regular xbox games on it.I downloaded the update to my CD/DVD disk and tried to update it on my 360 but it says that the disk is unreadable and i should go to xbox.com/support.Can anyone help me out?

Instead having the HD-DVD player so the cost would be $300 - $500 instead of $499 to $599. Poor marketing if you ask me.

Because if they had done that the competition would be way greater between the 360 and the ps3, but the Ps3 would have won with it's 1080p resolution and a built in HD-DVD player

Two months ago, my friends were trying to find out what to get me for my birthday. So, they asked me all these questions on what I'm interested in, including if I like playing my Gamecube, Game Boy, DS, Playstation, etc. And I told them that I don't give my time for those anymore. And when it's time to open my present, they gave me a Wii! I was shocked, yet devastated for that present! Coz they put all their efforts and money into buying me something I told them I had no much interest in!

So, now they keep on asking me how was my Wii and if I were to buy new games and stuff, and I keep on answering that I didn't play it for a while and all that, and they seemed disappointed.

What should I do? It's the first time my friends planned such thing, especially since I've known them all for just a year! They were so generous... but how can I act in this trap?
