Here's the deal, I'm looking for a game console that I can transport easily and use in my car and my house. I heard that gamecube is great for portability is this true, or is there another gaming system that will fit my needs?

If you want to use it in your car, you need a portable, like the Nintendo DS or the Sony PSP. A home console like GameCube is meant to be hooked up to your living room TV.

Of course, if you have one of those living-rooms-on wheels with 5.1 sound and a video screen at every seat, you might be able to install a GameCube, for instance for use by kids in the back seat. In that case, the GameCube is indeed the best choice. It is very small and compact, and has tons of kid-friendly games, as well as some stuff for the occasional more-mature player.

If you really do mean that you want a portable system, go with the Nintendo DS. It has more games and is more suitable for pick-up-and-play style portable gaming.

Dont buy a PS2. It was good some time ago, but really it will just waste money. Sony has abandoned all of its consoles to support PS3, which is a failure in my opinion. So buying a PS2 will just give you a console with hundrends of good (but old) games. Say you will play them for a year or so. Then they will stop making games for it. Then what? Throw it out, thats what.

You should get a PSP or a nintendo DS if you want to play in your car. PSP is very good as a player, but no so good as a console. ONE good game was released for it, Loco Roco.

DS, on the other hand, has lots and lots of fun games. Just try , and you wont regret it.

I'm afraid we will be seing Battlefront 2 only on PS2 and Xbox.

the slim ps2 is the better choice and is installed in cars much more often than the gamecube. The ps2 is small, light, and can easily be taken to and from the car. If you want to be able to find any games I also suggest you go with the ps2.
