will i be able to play a ps3 console thougth my pc moniter and speakers?

i want a ps3 but i want to put it thougth my pc speakers and moniter what things will i need is xbox 360 any better for playing thougth a moniter and pc speakers

You will have to buy any of the following items depending on the type of connections your monitor has.
HDMI to DVI or VGA
Component to DVI or VGA
then plug your audio cables into your speakers our into the computer instead through line-in or microphone jack. You'd need to get a cable with RCA L/R audio jack on one end and headphone male on the other.

or buy a TV tuner card with A/V inputs

Xbox and PS3 will have the same issues above with connecting to monitor except PS3 can do HDMI
