Cingular still supoprts old contracts of AT&T customers; however, if you need a new phone you have to change to a cingular contract, which in my case a comparable contract would cost us significantly more per month/year. We have been trying to find an unlocked phone to replace my current phone which is on its last leg. I can find used replacements from people switching away from their current AT&T plans, but those will eventually run into the same problem that I'm having with my current phone... therefore, I'm trying to find a new phone. Suggestions????
