From what I have been reading, it appears that Alltel has the largest network in the United States, so they have the greatest coverage area over any other wireless provider. Is this true? I have read stories about people who were traveling with friends who used Verizon, and when their phones went dead, the Alltel phone was still getting a signal.

Please describe your experiences using Alltel. Do they really have better coverage than everyone else?

have recently got a samsung c100 GSM wireless phone to send to my hubby in afganistan. i have bought the sims card that he'lll need for over there but do not know what kind of calling card he'll need for minutes i dont know where to look on the phone. with out the sims card in it tells me nothing any ways i belive that the sims card has nothing to do with the minutes i know a lot of the guys in iraq use these phone so if there is any spouse parent or soldier that knows what im talking about please help me THANK YOU VERY MUCH

i have a motorola l7 and a case that closes with a magnet and so i was wondering if it would damage the phone? casue i know its bad to mut magnets on like comupters and stuff. Its a generic case too.

I bought a new Razr from Ebay. It's on Cingular network and I currently have an internet plan for it. It's not allowing me to access the internet. Any help what be appreciated please. Why should I have to pay extra per month if I can't use it? You know what I mean? I would like to use it though. Internet works with my recent phone with that same Sim. I've heard a few people had problems with the internet when they bought a Razr from Ebay. Do I just have to call up and activate it or what? Thanks

I live in japan, and i want a phone but all the regular phone options here (cell phone) will cost an arm and a leg. i see that vonage has a $25/month plan for unlimited calling to the states, and i also see that they have some cool hardware options, like this mobile phone that i can use anywhere i get a wireless internet signal. anyway, i would like advice from those of you who use internet based phone services.

I have an Alltel LG AX5000 phone and the battery goes dead at what I think is way too soon. I usually have 1 - 4 bars where I talk at, and the battery only lasts for up to 45 minutes of talking. It's annoying the crap out of me, because I have to charge it all the time. The phone isn't even a year old, I got it in like January!!! Do I need to get a new battery already or is it just that bad? And half the time I talk until it gets to two bars left out of four, and then it drops the call.. "Call was lost." I guess that's just because the phone gets overheated? Any answers will be helpful.. Except for you point-obsessed people who say "No." to every single answer.
