theoretically no - but there are ways and means.
If you have registered your mobile number on online profiles, then sometime it can pop up that way.
A long shot would be if you have registered your telephone number with a company as contact details - and he worked for that company.
The chance though is slim, because you don't need to leave any details when you buy a SIM card so if you haven't left your name and address anywhere electronically with that number then probably not
Maybe you shouldn't give the number if your not sure

No not unless you registered the phone and he works for the phone company or has a friend that does. It is against data protection to do that though and companies check for reasons for people to access this information. Don't worry about it!

Can be done, but not by just anyone. Depends on who guy was, what contacts he had/ what he did for a living.
Generally though I wouldn't worry, 99% would not be able to get this info.

in thoery he can,t get your details just from your mobile thats why when you register your number you have password etc and personel identification details but if you are on messenger or msn and you have your details in your profile and your mobile number they could get address and things from there have you give him your e.mail address or messenger as well as your mobile number cos that could be a way of finding your details

he shouldn't be able to, but if you got your pay as you go sim from orange or vodafone and not just a dodgy guy in the market, they will have your personal details. they aren't allowed to give it out but they could...
