1. Just please give me samples on how to use ActionScripts in flash 8,
2. and a good site for free clear video tutorials on how to use flash 8 if possible.

This is the 1st time I ever use flash, and it's really driving me crazy .. it's not like adobe at all .. it's not like after effects .. it's like NOTHING .. :'(

This would be just to host some information and how can I load pdf's onto the pages to be sent free to interested readers. I understand you have to have certain software installed on your machine before you can run your visual basic programs that you write, if this is the case what is the point in the programming languae visual basic if you can't use your program that you write on another machine, without having certain software required, does this software come standard on most windows machines that is required for your visual basic.exe file that you have written to execute independently on another machine? I guess what iam trying to ask is what can you do with visual basic, what is it good for, i know that you can make great programs with visual basic but if you have to have prerequisties installed on your machine before you can run your program that you write in visual basic, then would that kinda hinder your program you write for distribution?
