Programming & Design - July 2006

I have 20,000 cells each with 6 numbers seperated by .`s (ie 1.2.3.4.5.6) in each.
Is there a way to search for 2 or more of the numbers within the cell ( ie 1 and 6 ) with the numbers in any order ?
If not is there another way to be able to perform this search even if it means putting each individual number into different cells or worst case scenario using a different programme totally?

$query = stripcslashes($query);
mysql_query($query, $conn)or die(mysql_error());


If I POST any $query with (') from file 1
ex. $query="update subscribers set name='theo' where..."

it will be received by file 2 like
$query = $_POST[query]="update subscribers set name=\'theo\' where..."

and then stripcslashes($query)="update subscribers set name='theo' where..."

If the query is not correct
(ex: ...("updata subscribers set name='theo' where...")
It will not be executed and there will be no
return of mysql_error().

But----------------------------------------------------------
If I pull out of the code the line
$query = stripcslashes($query);
then the query of course is not correct and will not be executes
(ex: ..."update subscribers set name=\'theo\' where...")
but
this code RETURNS the mysql_error().

for example i have this url :

but in the next page that im getting the value of the topic it shows:
asd%2520asd
how can i get rid of those extra letters that replace the space.
And is asd%2520asd = asd asd

the laptop starts up by displaying the viao words and then goes directly into a operating system not found. my laptop model is vgn-fs760/w and i do not know anything about computers so please someone help me out here because i am currently in the mid east and there are no computer shops out here to help . i am in the military and its sucks out here with no computer for communication back home. thanks for your help.

i have a column with a user's profile, i would like to extract hyperlinks from that profile.

example: user="bob", profile="this is my profile, look at http://google.com and http://yahoo.com and my myspace at http://myspace.com/users/mlkgj"

should return:
user | link
"bob" "http://google.com"

I have a mysql table of tablename names with two fields ID and NAME. I have so many entries in that table, I want to display three names in one line.

example:

name1-name2-name3
name4-name5-name6
name7-name8-name9
and more....
